Femslash fanfiction

I've always had a tendency to write quite formally, not in the sense of big words or complicated meaning but in the way that I tend to write do not instead of don't or we are instead of we're, this doesn't effect my basic writing too much it's just my style the problem only makes me worried when I use it in character dialogue! Again this issue won't make a difference when I write original work because that will just be the way those people speak!! But when your writing fan fiction and your trying to write as close to the character as possible it can be difficult when they all sound like seven of nine (Ironically I've never tried to write voyager stories?) so I think that's something I'll have to work on 

 
I have a god example of something I wrote last night and it has just that problem! Then when I looked at some of my half written stuff it all sounds the same the strange thing is I don't talk all that formally but when I'm typing it just come out that way, I'm worried it's just another symptom of my growing OCD I find myself less and less able to carry out simple tasks unless certain criteria are met, I can't even write an informal Text message on my mobile phone!! this means that I'm feeling less optimistic about ever being a good fanfic writer

 

I'm going to troll Youtube and other places for law and order SVU clips and study the language a bit more, maybe then I'll convince my mind it's doing the right thing
